Experience

A collection of my work history and education.

  1. Evertz Microsystems

    Software Design Engineer Intern

    Evertz Microsystems

    May 2025 - August 2026

    • Worked on MAGNUM OS, a full stack application that provides control, orchestration, monitoring, and analytics for customer's Evertz equipment.
    • Worked in Evertz's frontend monorepo, a code repository implemented using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON-RPC, and Nx for monorepo management.
    • Built a new design system and created a shared component library using TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, and Storybook with the goal of improving UI/UX for users.
    • Migrated a large portion of Evertz's frontend code to the new design system by using the shared component library that I had developed previously. Worked with the design team to make sure that the migration aligned with other Evertz apps.
    • Resolved 100+ Jira tickets in Evertz's frontend monorepo by using Git / GitHub to ship bug fixes and improvements that customers actually needed. Worked with the validation team to make sure that I was fulfilling customer/product requirements.
    • Caught bugs, improved code quality, and enforced repository standards in many new features as a trusted code reviewer of Evertz's frontend monorepo.
  2. Superior Boiler Works and Welding Limited

    Systems Engineer Intern

Superior Boiler Works and Welding Limited

    May 2023 - August 2023

    • Resolved computer and email issues across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and PowerShell to get staff back to work quickly.
    • Managed company accounts for 100+ employees, using Active Directory and PowerShell to cut down new-hire setup time.
    • Made sure company computers were up to date by managing Windows updates and pushing security fixes through Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
    • Helped staff spot scams before they caused damage by running internal phishing tests in Outlook.
    • Kept staff online by maintaining on-premises server infrastructure. This included troubleshooting virtual machines, storage servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and battery backups.
  3. Stoney Creek Furniture

    Warehouse Assistant

    Stoney Creek Furniture

    July 2020 - September 2022

    • Led the student team by delegating the day's work across customer pick-ups, furniture assembly, delivery organization, and warehouse upkeep.
    • Became certified on a Class 2 Forklift (also known as an order picker) to access furniture stored within the racks of the warehouse.
    • Operated various compactors to control the waste created from opening products in the warehouse.
    • Learned how to use Storis, the furniture inventory management system, so that I could complete my assigned tasks while still maintaining inventory accuracy.

Fullstack Development

A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
